10 PROPHETICAL AND ESCHATOLOGICAL QUESTIONS TO CHRISTIANITY
© Carlos Padilla – May 2023
1.- Will Jesus Christ – Yahshua return and establish the Kingdom of God?
For this question we can point out that Jesus raised and lives, and sits at the right hand of the Father, and when they saw Him ascend to heaven before them, the angels said to all those that were there: “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11). But the Lord Jesus taught them about His return: “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:29-31).
Jesus – Yahshua is the risen Lord who returns with the clouds, the same as He ascended: “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.” (Revelation 1:7). We must also highlight that the Lord Jesus is the Husband of the Church who will come for the marriage supper of the Lamb of Revelation 19:9-10. Jesus is also the rider of the white horse, the King who comes as a worrier Yahweh of hosts of Revelation 19:11-21. And Jesus is also the just judge who will sit on the great white throne to judge in Revelation 20:11-15.
Truly God’s promise has been clear about the coming of His Kingdom, and Jesus Christ – Yahshua had been telling the apostles all that would take place and so it was. And He was telling them about the Kingdom all the time of His ministry: Matthew 5 The Beatitudes, or Matthew 22, and Revelation 21 about the New Heaven and New Earth. 2.- Is the Bible a prophetical and mathematical code of God?
The Bible is a work of heavenly engineering and architecture that has a specific design in each of its four interpretation categories: Historical, Prophetic, Doctrinal and Spiritual. Likewise, we must nourish our spirit, our mind, our soul and our body. Both The Bible and ourselves have been created by God. The Bible shows us God’s history with human kind. It also shows us the prophecies that God has been revealing to His prophets, and that has been fulfilling, and those that will be fulfilled. Bible prophecies follow a code, an orderly patron of fulfilment, which has the purpose of demonstrating us that the Bible is real, and that it is the Word of God. But the greater certainty for those who still question the veracity of Bible prophecy, is its fulfilment, the tool we are given to reject false prophets and provide us the light in God’s prophetical clock.
On the other hand, and from a different perspective, there have been several mathematical and programming codes that have been found, both in the Old Testament, as in the New Testament. Both were originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, and we know that in these tongs each letter has a numerical value. Michael Drosnin and a professor of mathematics of the University of Jerusalem could check the code which also contains relevant historical events of humanity, thanks to a computer programme made to search the patrons. But the code is not necessary, nor the programme, nor the numbers; God has made it easy, we only have to look at how they have been fulfilled, how they fulfil, and how all and each of the prophecies in the Bible will be fulfilled. 3.- Was the coming and death of Christ, the Messiah, prophesized in the Bible?
God’s prophets have been prophesising the message that God has been giving them regarding the coming of the Messiah. From Genesis, God talks about the liberation and salvation that He would bring to those who love Him. Since Abraham we find that God provides him a lamb for him to sacrifice instead of his son Isaac. In Moses the characteristics of the Messiah are shown, as he was the liberator and temporary saviour of Israel in Egypt. Isaiah says about the Messiah that He is Mighty God and Everlasting Father:
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” (Isaiah 9:6-7). 700 B.C.
“…But you, Bethlehem Ephrata, though you are little among the thousands of Judah,
Yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.” (Micah 5:2). 735 B.C.
“…Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary…” (Daniel 9:25-26). 353 B.C.
“…Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14) 700 B.C.
“…Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4-5). 700 B.C.
“…For dogs have surrounded Me; the congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet.” (Psalm 22:16). 1000 B.C.
Daniel and other prophets received these clear and fulfilled prophecies about Christ centuries before. To read a collection of 70 fulfilled prophecies about Jesus Christ – Yahshua in the Bible: https://www.yahshua.net/prophChrist.htm
4.- What is the Great Tribulation ?
What is the Great Tribulation? Will the Church go through it? Will Israel? Will it only be for the apostate world? Is there a difference between Tribulation and Great Tribulation? Our Lord Jesus Christ, in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, and of course in the prophets in the Bible like Daniel 12, or Zechariah 14; the apostles: 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, and 2 Peter 3, or Revelation 7, warn us days of the end time when these told events which are apocalyptic, in the popular meaning of the term, of a persecution and affliction with no precedent in human history, of the coming of the wrath of God Almighty against an apostate humanity, of the destruction of the heavens (universe), and of the present earth, and the appearing of new heavens and new earth where the justice of God dwells. Which one of the following interpretations of what the Great Tribulation in the time prior to the coming of the Kingdom of God is the correct one under the light of the Bible? Was it the time of the destruction of the Temple and of Jerusalem in the invasion of the roman troops of General Titus in 70 A.D. which ended the time of the Old Testament which fulfils it, as the Preterists affirm? Is it the persecution of the antichrist over the Church as the classic Pre-tribulationists affirm and of which the Church will be set free in the rapture before the coming of the Lord in the end of time? Is it the persecution of the antichrist over Israel, when they build the third Temple of Jerusalem before the Millennium, as the Dispensationalists affirm? Is it the period of suffering of the apostate humanity of the last days of history in which the wrath of God will be poured as the Pre-tribulationists affirm? Or is it period of tribulation and persecution promised to the Church from the ascension of Jesus Christ until His return, when every eye shall see Him, as the Post-tribulationists affirm, the historical faith of the Church both Catholic as well as Protestant?
“…For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.” (Matthew 24:21).
However, any of these ways of interpretation don’t change the fact that at the end of time of humanity, just before the return of Jesus in glory to establish the Kingdom of God, there will be a period of Great Tribulation, which has never existed, which indicates that even the two World Wars are not similar. Finally remind that there is another interpretation which can be read in the dedicated Study, with a link below, which is the Mid-tribulationist vision, which teaches that in the middle of the tribulation, the saints will be raised and the Church will be raptured from the world. A complete Prophetical Bible Study goes deeper into this important subject at:
https://www.yahshua.net/Rapture.htm
5.- When will the end of the world be and the prophecies of Revelation like Armageddon?
As we have read in the Prophetical Question 4, the end of the world will not come until the Great Tribulation comes, and for this we first will see the apostasy of all nations, amongst which they come against Jerusalem in the battle against God called Armageddon (Revelation 16:16), which is identified with the Valley of Mageddo or Meguiddo north of Jerusalem, after which Yahshua – Jesus Christ will return to establish His Kingdom with new heavens and new earth, because those existing will be burned: (2 Peter 3). “…and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.” (1 Thessalonians 1:10). If we now see that the world is looking much like these end time prophecies, we must be close and it is a calling to have faith, trust in God, have hope in His coming and preserve in brotherly love and in good works. To read more about end prophecies of Revelation, see the next question and the following Prophetical Bible Study:

6.- Will the antichrist rule the world before the end?
A period of a decadent generation in the entire world is prophesized in the Bible at the end of times, and the apostle Paul spoke of it to the Thessalonians saying:
“…concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. 5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2: 1-12).
Indeed, society at world level, even with the differences between countries, between the first, second and third world, political ideologies, religious differences and socio cultural, etc. separates more and more from the Word of God, and becomes enemy of God. Today there are many relevant and authorised voices from the engineering and business world that warn of the new escalade of the Artificial Intelligence “AI” and its potential to become a tool for control of civilization under oppression, which would facilitate the imposition of the know in the Bible as the “marc of the beast 666” which many identify with a chip under the skin for the control of people, with the excuse of security, health, and convenience which many already have implanted. - Will there be a rapture of the Church, Christians alive before the Great Tribulation and the end of the world?
The Lord Jesus taught the apostles about the hope we should receive, with respect to His second coming and the way He would take all the saints, those who believe in His name since the New Testament, and those who awaited the Messiah from the Old Testament. This hope of going to the eternal life, and even more in the case of the believers alive with Jesus returns, and that will be raptures alive to heaven, is an essential part of the complete Gospel. The two more relevant Texts, both from the Jesus, as from the apostle Paul, follow, and a link to this specific Prophetical Bible Study:
“…29Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. 32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.” (Matthew 24:29 – Mark 13:24 – Luke 21:7).
“…But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

8.- Are the Messianic Jews the last prophetical Israel?
The return of Israel to the Promised Land almost 2000 years after Diaspora is for many a fulfilled prophecy, and there are strong reasons to accept it as such. The first because the Bible provides several times the promise of God to Israel that after being spread in the nations, which Jesus warned about, at the end of time they would be brought back from all nations and returned to their land, which occurred in 1948 with the mandate of United Nations, after suffering the horror of the Holocaust, where six million Jews died. (Romans 11:25). Today we see that many Jews are receiving Yahshua – Jesus Christ as the Messiah, the so called Messianic Jews –or Christian of Jewish origin– who proclaim that Jesus Christ – Yeshua or Yahshua as Lord and Saviour, and they do it in Jerusalem suffering great persecution for it.
“Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads… … 3 They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. (Revelation 14).
And also Jerusalem goes by their hand, because its destruction was prophesized by Jesus for not receiving the Messiah that God sent them, which occurred in 70 A.D. by the hand of the roman General Titus, whose arch is in Rome, next to the Coliseum and the arch of Constantine. But Jerusalem had to be again the prophetical watch of the world, where there are still prophecies to be fulfilled, like the return of Jesus to Mount Zion, for which it is necessary that the Jews would return to Jerusalem for the fulfilment of the prophecies that are pending, and the 75th Anniversary of the independence of Israel has just been celebrated. 9.- Will all the dead be raised for Judgment Day?
Ezekiel tells in the prophecies that God gave him, in chapter 37, in the famous passage of the Valley of the Dry Bones, the following: “Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’ ”
We know that Jesus Christ rose from death, and more than 500 brethren saw Him alive again, and at the end, the apostles saw Him ascend to Heaven before their eyes, (1 Corinthians 15:6). God’s Message of Salvation includes this important news, for it is about where we will spend eternity after resurrection. Jesus raised Lazarus (John 11:38-44), and the sepulchres were opened when Jesus rose and many saints rose then (Matthew 27:52). The question is, where will you spend eternity: in Heaven or in hell? All will be raised, except Christians alive when Jesus Christ comes, who will be raptured alive into heaven –as we read in the previous question– together with those raised saved (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Also the non believers and enemies of God will be raised for the judgment of condemnation to hell. The Kingdom of God, the Heavens and eternal life are essential to the Christian message, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me, shall never die. Do you believe this?… … He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.” (John 11:25-26; 12:44-45).

10.- Will we live forever after resurrection?
“Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” (Matthew 19:16…). This was the question that a rich young man asked the Lord Jesus. When He replied asking if he kept the Commandments, he replied he did, and Jesus asked him to sell all he had and give it to the poor, and to follow Him. From this point the story concludes. Are we able to really fulfil all the Commandments and give up all things to follow Jesus? The answer is that we are sinners and are not perfect. Jesus had to fulfil the divine justice in our place, and He did it for His love for us, so that justly and with a transformed and regenerated heart, we would be born again from the Holy Spirit (John 3), and we could enter through faith and with hope in the eternal life “…in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began…” (Titus 1:2).
Eternal life is the final cause of God’s work. Jesus Christ gave His life on the Cross so that we could be saved precisely so that we could have eternal life. That is the promise of Jesus Christ – Yahshua and the reason He came to the world to save us. The Bible tells of new heavens and of a new earth in which we will spend eternity. The key verse of evangelization contains this message: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). CONCLUSION
These 10 Prophetical Questions to Christianity are only a small light ray within the eschatological and prophetical panorama of the Bible, but they seemed to me the more relevant, not only from our time perspective, but in general, because the Bible itself requests that we do not despise prophecies, but that we know them and be of light to us in the light of our lives, to give us life until we reach the Kingdom of God. To read or study other Prophetical Bible Studies:

¡…Do not despise prophecies…” (1 Thessalonians 5:20). These words of the Bible must guide us to study them and comprehend them because the Word of God is prophetic, and light for all believers, and a guide that has enlightened the Way to all who love God always, which we see in each book of the Bible and in each life of the prophets and apostles, and in the lives of all those who await the coming of the Kingdom of God.
“Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place. Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book!” (Revelation 22:6-7). ¡Amen!
