THE SPIRIT ON THE CROSS
THE DOOR TO
THE TEMPLE OF HEAVEN

14th of Nisan 5778
“Eli, Eli, lema
sabachthani?” which
means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
Matthew 27:46, where the words of our Lord Jesus while on the Cross.
Afterwards the following events accoutred: “51 At
that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and
the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were
raised to life. 53 They
came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy
city and appeared to many people.”
We know that Yahshua - Jesus Christ took the decision to give His live in
sacrifice for our sins before the foundation of the world, by His will and
in accordance with God the Father, and did it through the eternal Spirit,
Ephesians 5:2, Hebrews 9:14, 1 Peter 1:19-20. For this He had to incarnate
to accomplish that great work. However these two works of Christ –to be
forsaken and to have decided willingly- may seem a contradiction at first
sight, but if we continue to read the Text in the Bible, we are revealed how
and why this was the only way to open to us the door of Heaven for eternal
life, and only the Lord Jesus Christ could do it, and did it knowing that He
was facing to be forsaken and loaded with our sins. Have you entered through
the door of Heaven that Jesus Christ opened on the Cross of Calvary through
the eternal Spirit when the curtain was torn from top to bottom? Continue to

The work of the Holy Spirit on the Cross of Christ is not evident at first
sight, the Bible reveals to us that the work of the Cross was possible
through the eternal Spirit, who without a doubt is the Holy Spirit. That
deep relationship between the Holy Spirit and Yahshua Jesus Christ that
began before Creation was coming to its decisive point at the Cross in
Calvary, as we read in the initial Text. That Text concludes with the
reaction of the centurion and the witnesses, in Matthew 27:54: “So
when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the
earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying:
Truly this was the Son of God!” We can also read the story in the other
three Gospels: Mark 15:34, Luke 23:46 and John 19:30.
YAHSHUA – JESUS CHRIST OPENED THE DOOR OF THE TEMPLE OF HEAVEN FOR BELIEVERS
We know
through Scripture that Jesus Christ gave the spirit willingly, this is, He
decided to die in the instant that He wanted; the soldiers did not have to
accelerate His death, as with the other two crucified, because of the hurry
due to the start of Passover. Therefore He had authority over His life. But
the effect that His life caused on us, on those that would become the
Church, since then, to open the door of the Temple of Heaven, the door of
the same Heart of God, the door of a Temple not made by hand, not of this
Creation, which has a Holy of Holies and that requested of this work of one
who was High Priest forever. His work is the centre of human History. Once
Jesus had opened the door of Salvation, the Holy Spirit could come in us
giving us the gift of faith to believe in that accomplished work of Christ
on the Cross, His eternity, incarnation, expiatory death, resurrection and
ascension to the glory, and whom we are waiting in His coming to establish
His Kingdom.
THE TEMPLE OF HEAVEN – JESUS CHRIST THE LAMB OF GOD
Hebrews 9
explains how the system of the Temple was established, God´s justice and how
the expiatory work that forgives our sins works, and why Jesus Christ had to
give His life fulfilling the commandments of the Old Covenant or Testament
and how it established the New Covenant or Testament. After the second
curtain was the part of the Tabernacle which is called Holy of Holiest,
where only the High Priest could enter, once a year, not without blood, who
had to offer as much for his own sins as for the rest of the people, and
with this the Holy Spirit was giving understanding, according to verse eight
that the way to that Holy of Holiest had not been manifested. But being
Christ present, High Priest without sin and eternal, entering Heaven itself,
in another and perfect Tabernacle not made by hand, not of this Creation and
with His own blood obtained eternal redemption.
GOD ABIDES IN US
Now that we
have followed the origin and the purpose of the work of Christ, and how,
before the foundation of the world He had seen our fall and loved us,
provided that we could have that special and privileged relationship with
the Father in His name and thought the Spirit, let us enter with confidence
through that door, because we may live and experience that relationship for
which it is necessary that we understand and accept humbly what Paul
received in clear revelation from God in his letter to the Romans. In the
eighth chapter we read that there is no more condemnation for those who are
in Christ Jesus, with a fulfilled justice thanks to the Holy Spirit, true
main character of our Christian life and who has the merit of being That
“Parakletos” that Jesus announced before He was ascended to the throne of
glory.
We read some
characteristics of when God abides in us through the Holy Spirit: “4 that
the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not
walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For
those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the
flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the
Spirit. 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit,
if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the
Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 11 But if the Spirit of
Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from
the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who
dwells in you. 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with
our spirit that we are children of God.
Therefore the Holy Spirit shall abide in us, if we are of Christ, and He
himself will raise us or rapture us in the last day. And in the same way,
James 4: 5 sais: “Or do you think that the
Scripture says in vain: The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? a
precious affirmation that the believer shall experience daily according to
how he works on his relationship with the Holy Spirit to be full of Him. And
that same Spirit that abides in us, is the same Spirit that abides in the
Temple of Heaven, which is God Himself: Revelation 21:22 “But I saw no
temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.”
God is the Temple, and the Lamb, and the Spirit who abides in us and in
Heaven.
CONCLUSION
Yahshua – Jesus Christ saves us of eternal death and hell if we have
received the faith in His work; we have understood it and received it. If it
is like this, we have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, who has been
working in us from before the foundation of the world, as we have seen in
the Texts of the Bible. Jesus offered Himself with the power of the eternal
Spirit, and in His death he overcame death and sin, opening, after the
curtain of religion, the door to the personal relationship with God. Today,
and until He returns to take us to the new Creation, we are Temple of God
and the Holy Spirit abides in us giving us permanent access to the Temple of
Heaven, to the same heart of the Father, in Jesus Christ.
Have
you already entered through that Door of Heaven and live a daily
relationship with God? You only need faith in the work of the Cross of
Christ thought the Gospel, to confess your sin, and ask God to live in your
heart through His Spirit. Pray daily, talk to God and study the Bible
always. This Easter and Passover of the Passion of Christ may it fulfil in
each of us for the glory of God, abided by the Holy Spirit, may we be kept
because Jesus Christ returns. To Him be the glory. Amen! Hallelu-Yah!
