PROFETIC PASSOVER

© Carlos Padilla – Easter April 2022 – Passover 14th Nisan 5782

The Easter, the Passover after the triumphal entrance of Jesus in Jerusalem, was the anteroom of the Passion of Christ for our love’s sake, us whom He loved still being sinners. That Passover of the Via Crucis, Via Dolorosa that was taking the Son of God to the Golgotha or Calvary was fulfilling centuries of prophecies about the suffering Messiah, but also about the triumphant Messiah who was defeating death in the resurrection and ascension. But before that he had the last Supper, the Holy Supper in the upper room, that which is in Zion, near David’s tomb. And in that occasion after washing the feat of His disciples, He said to them that He would not have that Passover any more until it was fulfilled in the Kingdom of God, nor He would drink more of the fruit of the grape until that day in which He would drink it with His Church in the Kingdom of the Father. But there is more, because He tell us that not only He will have a Passover which is new, but that He will make all things new, including us which are in Christ. That is the Prophetic Passover – Easter which fulfils in each of us, but that was announced by the prophets like Isaiah 53 in about 700 B.C. with these Words:

THE PROPHECIES ABOUT PASSOVER

Psalm 22 was written by king David as a prophet in the IX century B.C. and begins with the famous Words of Jesus on the Cross: “My God, my God, why have You forsaken Me?… And what was fulfilled: …They pierced My hands and My feet… …I can count all my bones… …They divide My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots”.

…He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Isaiah 53 Year 700 b. C.

…Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary…Daniel 9:25-26 Year 535 b.C.

But for the Prophetic Passover Easter to fulfil in the life of the Messiah Yahshua, first His birth had to come to pass in this world:

…For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:6 Year 700 b.C.

…Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (which translates: God with us). Isaiah 7:14 Year 700 b.C.

In the following page you can read 70 prophecies about Yahshua that are fulfilled, from about 300 that exist: https://www.yahshua.net/prophChrist.htm

THE PROPHECY OF YAHSHUA ABOUT THE PASSOVER IN THE FUTURE KINGDOM OF GOD

If the prophecies about Passover Easter were fulfilled by Jesus Christ in His coming, without a doubt, as well as all the revelations of the prophets, in the same way, and even more, the prophecy of the Lord Yahshua about the Passover in His Kingdom will be fulfilled also at His return at the end of time. Our faith in the promise of this deep subject of the Passion of Christ and its celebration in commemoration that we do in the Holy Supper, the bread and the wine that represent the body and the blood of Christ, is precisely in the fact that we not only remember the death of the Lord and His resurrection, but another Holy Supper is awaiting for us with Jesus Christ on His table where He says He will have it new:

“But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom”. Matthew 26:29; Marc 14:25.

“For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God”. Luke 22:16.

John 13-17 adds to the story of the Passover of Jesus and the apostles, the teachings He gave them before the Passion on the Cross.

THE PROMISE THAT ALL THINGS ARE MADE NEW

We have seen that there is a new Holy Supper, which will be fulfilled in the Kingdom of God, and of which we will participate. Now we find ourselves in the new time of the New Testament, of the New Covenant in the blood of Christ, but not only that, but that the Lord teaches that all things are made new for those who are in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) in, and for the Kingdom of God through the victory of Christ in His prophetic Passover Easter, which we must remember always when we take the bread and the wine, until we have it new with Jesus that day:

Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely”. Psalm 147:1.

“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people”. Jeremiah 31:31-33. And I will put my spirit within you…”. Ezekiel 36:26-28 . “

“…Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”. John 3:3.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another”. John 13:34-35.

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life”. Romans 6:4.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new“. 2 Corinthians 5:17.

“That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness”.  Ephesians 4:22.24.

“…seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him…” Colossians 3:9-10.

“Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness”. 2 Peter 3:13.

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it”. Revelation 2:17.

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away…  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband… And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new” Revelation 21:1,2 and 5.

All things in Christ are made new, from ourselves, to the New Jerusalem that will come down from heaven. This is our hope in Christ, to be part of all the plan of God of a new creation that will be the Kingdome of God for eternity, where pace and justice, happiness and the love of God reign. Let us preach the Gospel because still many are to be saved and do not know God, so they may also enjoy being made new and live in the new and eternal Kingdom of God.

CONCLUSION

The prophetic Passover Easter that Yahshua Jesus-Christ fulfilled brought to us the Easter of Passover that commemorates His death and Resurrection, and brings us a new Holy Supper that awaits for us in the Kingdom of God that will be a celebration with our Lord Jesus Christ of His salvation for His love for us, for His glory. We know it will be fulfilled because the prophecies of the Old Testament about the death of the redemptory Messiah, the Passion of Christ were fulfilled to the foot of the Letter in Jesus Christ. And not only those, for all the prophecies of the Bible have been fulfilled, and the few remaining will be fulfilled. Jesus Himself has asked us the Church to celebrate it in His memory until  He returns, but He has also announced that He will eat the Passover and drink the fruit of the grapes, all made new in the Kingdom of God. Let us remember the Text of Revelation 19:9: “…Blessed are those which are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb”.

But we have seen that the fruit of the Cross of Christ also produces that all things in Christ are made new. We read that the apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians in his second letter, chapter 5, verse 17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; Behold, all things are become new”. We saw that one must be born again to see the Kingdom of God, in John 3, according to what Jesus said to Nicodemus, as well as the new heavens and new earth, and the New Jerusalem.

Finally it is of great joy to know that the fulfilment of the prophetic Passover Easter has produced as fruit that we, the believers for His grace, can be and enjoy all the things made new, some now and the rest when we go to the Kingdom of God in the coming of Yahshua – Jesus Christ, at the end of time, from heaven, when He raises those who died in Him and raptures those of us who are left living in Christ, 1 Thessalonians 4:13 and 2 Peter 3, and every eye shall see Him, Revelation 1:7. Let us celebrate a prophetical Passover Easter with family and friends in Christ, for His glory with the hope that the Lord makes all things new! “Behold, I make all things new” Revelation 21:5. Amen!
