YAHSHUA
The
Christmas or Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ – Yahshua, is a historical
event of which there is no doubt, but for some holy people, called in the
Bible “devote” who lived in times when the Virgin Mary conceived Jesus
Christ, was an event to come, a prophetical event pending fulfilment. There
were prophets who received prophecy from God about the birth of the Messiah
with centuries in advance, but those prophets who were contemporary of
Joseph and Mary, during their own lives, they had receive prophecy that they
would see the Saviour of the world with their own eyes. This Christmas we
will see it through the eyes of those prophets who lived in the time of the
birth of Jesus of Nazareth.
THE PROPHETS OF THE FIRST CHRISTMAS
Priest Zechariah, together with his wife Elizabeth, parents
of he who would become John the Baptist, in Luke 1:5 tells us how Zechariah
was exercising his priesthood in the sanctuary of the Lord when an angle of
the Lord, called Gabriel, appeared to him and announced him that his wife,
so called the sterile, would conceive in her old age because his son would
be the one sent to announce the Messiah, his cousin Jesus of Nazareth.
...And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of
Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the
disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for
the Lord.
6 months after, the same angle Gabriel visited Virgin Mary
and announced to her that she would conceive in her virginity and give birth
to the Messiah:
...
And, behold,
thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring
forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
32 He shall be great, and
shall be called the Son
of the Highest: and
the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And
he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there
shall be no end.
Joseph, husband of Virgin Mary, in Matthew 1:
...But
while he thought on these things, behold,
the angel of the Lord
appeared
unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph,
thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which
is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring
forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus:
for he shall save his people from their sins.
The Messiah had to be born in Bethlehem of
Judah, in Luke 2.
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a
decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. (And this
taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to
be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee,
out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is
called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David).
The shepherd were
called by the angle to visit the Child, in Luke 2:
...And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in
the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo,
the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round
about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto
them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which
shall be to all people. 11 For unto
you is born this day in the city of
David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe
wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And
suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising
God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth
peace, good will toward men.
His parents, present the Child in the Temple, in Luke 2:21:
...And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was
Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of
Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. 26 And
it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death,
before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the
parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the
law, 28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and
said, 29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace,
according to thy word: 30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people
Israel. 33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things
which were spoken of him.34 And Simeon blessed them, and said
unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising
again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against.
Another prophetess called Anna, daughter or Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser,
who was also there; she was of old age and prayed in the Temple, in Luke
2:36:
...And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto
the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in
Jerusalem.
The “Magi” know as the Wise Men from the east, in Matthew 2:
1Now
when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king,
behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying,
Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star
in the east, and are come to worship him.
Joseph, Mary and the Child, have to flee to Egypt warned by the angle, in
Matthew 2:
12 And
being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they
departed into their own country another way.
The killing of the
martyr children of Jesus ordered by Herod when he could not find the Child:
13 And
when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph
in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee
into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will
seek the young child to destroy him.
14 When
he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into
Egypt.
The rest of chapter 2
tells how the killing of the new born and the under 2 years of age; how the
angle of the Lord warns Joseph to return to Egypt, and how they go to
Nazareth. Each event is a fulfilled prophecy. You may read it in “The
Christmas of Yahshua”.
Finally the same
Child Jesus, at the age of 12, lives the event in the Temple with the
doctors of the Law, in Luke 2:41:
...And
it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting
in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding
and answers.
THE PROPHETS OF CHRISTMAS, CENTURIES EARLIER
The Messiah would be
a descendant of Judah. ...
...The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between
his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people
be. Genesis 49:10
Year 1400 b. C.
Shiloh is a name of the Messiah. This is a prophecy of Jacob about his son
Judah. ...Which was the son of Aminadab, which was the son of Aram, which
was the son of Esrom, which was the son of Phares, which was the son of Juda,
which was the son of Jacob.
Luke 3:33, Matthew 1:2,3.
The Messiah would be the child born to us with a purpose of God. ...For
unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be
upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The
mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of
his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David,
and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and
with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will
perform this. Isaiah 9:6 Year
700 b.C.
...And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son,
and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the
Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his
father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of
his kingdom there shall be no end.
Luke 1:31.
The Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. ...But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah,
though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he
come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have
been from of old, from everlasting. Micah 5:2 I recommend reading Chap.
5 completely.
Year 735 b.C.
...Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod
the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem.
Matthew 2:1, Luke 2:4.
Daniel prophesises the time of the birth of the Messiah. ...Know
therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to
restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven
weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and
the wall, even in troublous times. Daniel 9:25
Year 535 b.C.
...And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from
Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2(And this taxing was
first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
Luke 2:1&2.
The Messiah would be born of a virgin. ...Therefore the Lord himself
shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and
shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14
Year 700 b.C.
...Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother
Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with
child of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 1:18, Luke 1:26.

PROPHECY OF CHRISTMAS IN THE HEARTS OF NEW BELIEVERS
As well as all the
prophets that have known, waited, lived and told the Nativity of Jesus
Christ, every year, since the ascension of the Lord, the Christians have
been preaching the Gospel and the birth of Yahshua to millions of souls, of
which, in those that have believed, Christmas has fulfilled in the heart.
Like every year, now in the XXI century, everyone who believes in the Son of
God has everlasting life.
Is it Christmas in
your heart?
...Now
all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the
Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be
with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name
Emmanuel, which being interpreted is,
God with us.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the
Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her
not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.
...For God so loved the world that
He
gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting
life.
John 3:16.
CONCLUSION
Christmas, the birth
of the Child Jesus, the Son of God, is one of the most important news for
man, because the work on the Cross depended of Him coming to fulfil it, that
we may be saved from the “coming wrath”. If Jesus had not come to the world
to give His life for us on the Cross, it would have remained impossible for
us to have salvation for eternal life, but God loved us: John 3:16.
We have seen that
many saints lived their last years expectant, pending of living a unique
experience for them, that of seeing and holding the Child God, the Messiah
of Israel, the saviour of the World; an event of such proportion that we
must think about it well: God became man and lived amongst us, John 1, and
these prophets could see and worship, while His own earthly parents were
astonished.
We have also seen
that other prophets received a message of hope in the future birth of the
Son of God on earth, the Saving Messiah, but would not see Him in their
lives. This reminds us also that we have a prophecy of Jesus Christ pending
of being experienced, and that many that are alive today may live it, I mean
the return of Jesus Christ, this time in glory, to reign; another prophecy
that we have been knowing almost two thousand years that will happen at the
end of time, and that end seems to be fulfilling, due to the signs that we
were given.
Beloved friends and
brothers, how will we live this Christmas? We are expectant with the coming
of Yahshua in Revelation 1:7 but we celebrate His birth, which gives us a
strong faith, because we know that Christmas was fulfilled, we know the
origin of our faith and hope, therefore His coming will fulfil, because God
revels the events of His Word, which is the prophetic Truth.
Jesus Christ came to
the world, died on the Cross, raised, ascended to the right hand of the
Father, Is with us, and returns to take His Church and establish His eternal
kingdom. Do you want to be part of that experience; do you want to know
Yahshua? You may know him in this link
Do You Know Jesus Christ?
But you must open your heart to Him. Yahshua is the best Christmas
present; believe in Him!
Merry Christmas –
Merry Coming of Yahshua!
